ISLE OF MAN Club Holiday 2012

Sunday 17th June 2012 to Saturday 24th June 2012 (Not Spring Bank Week)

Please Note: This is a 7 day/ 6 night holiday with half board and en-suite accommodation based in the popular resort of Douglas.

Where will we stay?

We have booked the Hydro Hotel on the sea front overlooking the bay. It is a few minutes from the sea front shopping. Many of the rooms have been refurbished with tea and coffee making facilities in each room as well as TV with satellite facilities. The hotel has its own bar, and offers entertainment on two of the evenings. There is a lift to all the floors. There are only 6 single rooms available, so it would be really helpful if you could arrange to share with someone on the holiday. We will be accommodated on a dinner/bed & breakfast basis, so you will only need to buy lunch. How will we travel?

Using a different travel company called ALFA Travel, we will leave Bradford on the SUNDAY morning (time to be confirmed), and drive to Heysham for the ferry crossing over to Douglas. We will of course have the coach with us for the week to take us to and from the walks, and to visit local places of interest.

Where will we walk ?

Douglas is predominantly Victorian but in the villages and towns elsewhere, there is a rich cultural heritage of harbours and castles, which has many traces of ancient Viking and Celtic history. There will be a full programme of A, B and C walks, offering as usual something to suit everyone.
