The final numbers climbed were
Munros: 283 (Previously 284)
Furth: 34
This does not mean I have now finished with Scotland. Over 90 of the ascents have been made in winter. I can look forward to summer ascents of those peaks and try pushing my winter ascents from just over 100 to approaching the half way point of 142.
My thanks go to Bill, Dave and Russell as one or more of them have accompanied me on the majority of the walks over the intervening years.
*You may have heard the term Munro but in case the other is new to you these are recognised as being 3000 foot peaks of the British Isles furth* of Scotland.
*Scottish term– meaning outside
*The term ‘compleater’ is an archaic term to describe those who have ascended all the 3,000 foot summits listed in Munros Tables at the time of their completion.
